A routine cooling check at a La Broquerie home turned into a bit more than a simple tune-up. Our technician found a contactor and a capacitor both showing signs of wear — components that keep the outdoor unit’s electrical connections firing reliably every time the system cycles on. Left alone, a failing contactor or capacitor can eventually stop the air conditioner from starting at all.

While inspecting the mechanical room, we also traced several minor duct leaks that were pulling extra dust into the home and quietly working against the system’s efficiency. We replaced the contactor and capacitor, sealed up the leaking duct connections, and installed a fresh high-efficiency filter to help keep the whole system running cleaner going forward.

Worn electrical components are one of the most common reasons a functioning air conditioner suddenly won’t turn on, and they’re easy to miss without a proper inspection. If your AC is due for a check or acting up, explore our air conditioner repair services or give us a call.
