When a home’s heating, cooling and hot water all reach the end of the road at once, doing them together saves a lot of disruption. That was the situation at a Rosenort home this summer.
Our installers replaced the gas furnace with a new high-efficiency Lennox unit, then fabricated a new return-air drop so a five-inch MERV 11 filter rack would fit properly — a detail that’s easy to skip and makes a real difference to air quality and filter life. A bypass humidifier went in at the same time. Outside, a new air conditioner and matched evaporator coil were installed with fresh line set, vented out to a concentric termination.
The old gas water heater was replaced with a sixty-gallon electric unit, which meant capping off the gas line and the chimney and running a new circuit from the garage panel through to the basement. The crew swept underneath the equipment before leaving, as the homeowner had asked.
