When a furnace starts falling behind, it usually shows up as cold spots and a system that runs longer than it should just to keep up. That was the situation for one Winnipeg homeowner, whose aging furnace had reached the point where a full replacement made more sense than another repair.

Our crew removed the old unit and installed a new high-efficiency two-stage gas furnace, complete with all new venting and intake piping, updated gas connections, and a new thermostat. Electrical connections and safety controls were wired in fresh, and sheet metal transitions were fabricated to fit the new equipment properly rather than forcing an old duct run to work with new gear.

Once everything was in place, the system went through a full startup and commissioning process — testing and balancing the airflow to make sure the new furnace was heating evenly room to room, not just pumping out heat at the register nearest the unit. Permits and inspections were handled as part of the job, so the installation is fully code-compliant from day one.

A two-stage furnace runs at a lower output most of the time and only ramps up to full power on the coldest days, which tends to mean steadier temperatures and lower bills than a single-stage system working overtime. If your furnace is starting to strain, our furnace installation team can walk through your options.
