When the hot water is unusable, nobody wants to wait days for a fix. A Richer homeowner called us with exactly that problem, and we had a replacement tank in place the same day.
The plan going in was a 60-gallon electric tank. Once our technician checked the panel, though, the existing wire and breaker turned out to be too small to carry it safely. Rather than upsize the electrical work on the spot, we recommended a 40-gallon electric tank that runs properly on the circuit already in the house, and the homeowner agreed.
The new tank was installed with fresh connections and a relief valve elbow. We tested both heating elements before leaving and they read exactly as they should, which meant hot water was back in roughly an hour and a half.
If your water heater is failing, or a quote you received does not quite fit your home, it is worth having someone look at the wiring and plumbing before you commit to a size. Learn more about our water heater replacement and repair services, or give us a call.
