A toilet that leaks at the base is easy to ignore for a while. The floor around it stays damp, someone wipes it up, and the real problem carries on. At a Steinbach property the seep had been going long enough to be obvious.
The fix is not a bead of caulk. Our technician lifted the toilet off entirely to reach the flange underneath, which is where the seal actually lives. The old wax ring had given up, which is normal after enough years of use and enough small shifts in the floor.
We set the fixture on a fresh wax ring, fitted new bolts, then shimmed and levelled it before tightening down. Levelling matters more than people expect: a toilet that rocks even slightly works the seal loose again, and you are back in the same spot within a year.
While on site we also cleared a plugged fixture that had been draining slowly.
If a toilet is seeping at the base, rocking, or draining slowly, our plumbing repair team will sort out the cause rather than the symptom. Call or text (204) 808-3000.
